SHORT BIOGRAPHICAL SKETCH

Dr. Suprava Jena was born in Cuttack, Odisha in the year 1992, and completed her Higher Secondary Education from SVM Autonomous College, Jagatsinghpur in  the year 2009. She has received her Bachelor of Technology degree in Civil Engineering from Orissa Engineering College, Bhubaneswar in the year 2013, and also acquired her Ph. D. degree in the area “Performance assessment of urban street facilities addressing improvement issues of automobile mode” from National Institute of Technology Rourkela in the year 2018.  At present, She is working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering, National Institute of Technology Silchar, Assam, India. She has three years of teaching and research experience in Civil Engineering. Her area of interest is Traffic flow modelling and simulation,  Safety Assessment and Level of Service of different transportation facilities and infrastructure, Transportation system planning etc. Prior to joining NIT Silchar, She was working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at MITS, AP  from 2018-2019. She has published 18 research papers in different International Journals and conferences. She has guided 11 PG students and currently, She has been the supervisor to 08 PG students as well as 04 PhD scholars [02 Main Supervisor; 02 Co-supervisor]. Currently she is working on Traffic flow modelling and Safety assessment of different transportation facilities as well as infrastructure.

About Suprava Jena
