SHORT BIOGRAPHICAL SKETCH

Dr. Bhupali Dutta received her B. E. (Bachelor of Engineering) degree in Civil Engineering from Assam Engineering College. After completing her bachelor’s, she joined Simplex Infrastructures Limited as an Assistant Engineer for their Greenfield airport project in Durgapur, West Bengal (2011-2012). She received her M. E. (Master of Engineering) degree in Civil (Transportation) Engineering from BITS Pilani, Pilani, and her Ph.D. in Civil (Transportation) Engineering from IIT Kanpur. Before joining NIT Silchar, she worked as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at NIT Jamshedpur (September 2022 to December 2023) and ITM University, Gwalior (January 2022 to September 2022). Her research interests lie in understanding road user behavior, road safety, pavement maintenance, and the use of sustainable materials in pavement construction.
