SHORT BIOGRAPHICAL SKETCH

Dr. Amit Kumar Das completed Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Civil Engineering and Master of Engineering (M.E.) in Geotechnical Engineering from Bengal Engineering and Science University, Shibpur (presently IIEST, Shibpur), Howrah, India in 2004 and 2006, respectively. Then he joined Navi Mumbai SEZ Private Limited (Reliance Group) as Assistant Manager in the department of Engineering Design. After working for three and a half years he left the organization as Manager and joined Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology, Majhitar, Sikkim as Assistant Professor in November, 2009. He completed his Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in November, 2017 from the Department of Civil Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur, Kharagpur, India as an Institute Research Scholar. He also worked as an Assistant Professor for two years in the Department of Civil Engineering, National Institute of Technology Sikkim before joining the Department of Civil Engineering, National Institute of Technology Silchar as an Assistant Professor in June, 2018.
