SHORT BIOGRAPHICAL SKETCH
Born in Katigorah of Cachar District in the year 1966. Completed Bachelor of Civil Engineering (Hons) in 1990 from Regional Engineering College (REC) Silchar. Did Master of Engineering in Water Resources Engineering (first position) from Assam Engineering College, Guwahati in 1992. Joined as Lecturer in Applied Mechanics Department of REC Silchar in 1994. Completed Ph.D. from IIT Kharagpur in 2003. Visited Denmark Technical University, Denmark from 01-06-06 to 21-06-06 and participated in a joint Research Project “Experimental investigation of flow around a bottom-seated full sphere or a partially-buried sphere with special emphasis on the bed shear stress”. Presently holding the post of Associate Professor in Civil Engineering Department.
